Couples planning to go on a date somehow end up being in a haywire situation that needs a little guidance and help. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here are some <\/span>first date tips <\/b>to let your plan the way you imagined your first date to be. We have also got you covered for the date with yourself <\/span>when a girl says no (Lol). <\/b>Let\u2019s start!<\/span><\/p>\n

Hunt For The Perfect Place.<\/h2>\n

Hello hello! We know Delhi is a huge city and picking the right place for a date can be quite a pain.<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

Everything gets messy after a point; the best food is at \u2018not so pretty\u2019 restaurants, there\u2019s never enough time (or money!) for crazy Bollywood-Esque gestures, and there are crying babies to bust the romance at most fancy places.<\/span><\/p>\n

Very few people really know everything there\u2019s to know about the eating out circuit in Delhi, and Anjali Batra from <\/span>Food Talk India<\/span><\/a> is one of those cool cats. So, we ran after her and got her to tell us what she recommends you do!<\/span><\/p>\n

#1 The First Date<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s your first date, and you obviously want to impress her! But don\u2019t pull out all the fireworks yet; let it build up. You want to take her somewhere that is nice and classy, yet not too over the top.<\/span><\/p>\n

Italian is always a safe option for the first date \u2018cos. It is a cuisine that we\u2019re all familiar with and isn\u2019t intimidating at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, I\u2019d say the best pick for me is Diva Cafe<\/strong>. It\u2019s fairly priced, serves good, heart-warming food, and has a comfortable environment. If you are lucky and have a membership at the Italian Cultural Centre, then definitely that\u2019s the right option.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re up for something different, then Chez Nini<\/strong> has some brilliant French food too. Oh, and Hungry Monkey is new but fabulous, especially if you can get a table on the terrace and enjoy the lovely view of Deer Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

#2 The ‘We\u2019re broke but Hungry Date’<\/h3>\n

Now we have some amazing <\/span>bhavans<\/span><\/i> across Delhi with traditional food from various regions across India at amazingly affordable prices. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Andhra Bhavan<\/strong> is one of my personal favorites. Just be careful about the timings since you don\u2019t want to reach there and find it shut.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sakley\u2019s- The Mountain Cafe<\/strong><\/em> has a great ambiance and is reasonably priced. The Food Talk India community loves brunching there, by the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monkey Bar is also a great option, with everything on the menu priced below INR 600. However, getting a table here is a little hard, so make sure you get there early.<\/span><\/p>\n

#3 The Candles & Wine Date<\/h3>\n

Olive at the Qutub<\/strong> is a classic! Brilliant food and gorgeous decor make a good date! Get a table in the courtyard under the banyan tree with the Qutub Minar in the backdrop, and you\u2019re set.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thai High<\/strong> for some amazing Thai food or Rara Avis if you\u2019re in love with Croute aux Morels.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a sucker for the Peking duck at China Kitchen<\/strong> at the Hyatt, so for me, that makes a great dinner date, and since they have private sections as well, you can have an intimate dinner date.<\/span><\/p>\n

#4 The Fancy Schmancy Date<\/h3>\n

Well, if you\u2019re ready to go all guns blazing then Sevilla at the Claridges<\/strong> wins hands down!<\/span><\/p>\n

Megu<\/strong> is at the top of my list for Japanese these days. Try the foie gras dishes and some Pork Kakuni if you\u2019re feeling experimental.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indian Accent<\/strong>. Just ask for the special Chef’s Table meal and prepare to be stunned by the fantastic explosion of flavors.<\/span><\/p>\n

#5 The 30-Minute Date: Don\u2019t you dare take her to Mc Donald\u2019s!<\/em><\/h3>\n

A 30 minute date is best spent as a dessert date. Those 30 minutes spent sharing a divine decadent dessert will set the sparks off for sure.<\/span><\/p>\n

My top picks are \u2013<\/h4>\n

Big Chill,<\/strong> even though it\u2019s not the most romantic place for a date. You\u2019ll probably end up running into someone you know there!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Elma\u2019s<\/strong> for the apple crumble cheesecake (move over, Red Velvet!)<\/span><\/p>\n

Tres<\/strong> for their Dessert Platter .<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Bistro du Parc<\/strong> for their panna cotta.<\/span><\/p>\n
